My name is Robert Preston. I’m a UK-based photographer, with much of my work focused on the Scottish Highlands, alongside projects covering most of the UK. I’m drawn to places where light, weather, and atmosphere play a defining role in shaping an image.

Landscapes & Cityscapes

My photography spans landscapes and cityscapes across Europe, including Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Austria. I’m particularly interested in locations that offer contrast, mood, or striking visual geometry — from the quiet scale of a Scandinavian fjord to the rhythm, light, and structure of an urban scene. I continue to explore new locations as my work develops.

Transport Photography

Alongside landscapes and cityscapes, I also photograph transport subjects. This work focuses primarily on steam trains, trams, and military aircraft, with an emphasis on placing these subjects within their environment rather than treating them as purely documentary subjects.
